KROQ Epicenter Twenty-Ten: Papa Roach

I made my way onto the Main Stage because I knew the crowd was going to go crazy for Papa Roach, who was coming up next. As soon as their singer Jacoby hit the stage, the fans went NUTS! It was obvious the crowd was ready for some more rock after Big Boi‘s awesome set.

Papa Roach played a slew of songs both new and old, but I think the crowd went most crazy during “Last Resort.” There’s something about the classics that brings out the energy in everyone, and even though these guys have been playing that song for well over 10 years, they still go out and kill it like it’s a new hit.

I was really stoked on their set, that is until Jacoby ran over towards me and blew water all over me and my camera. Thanks a lot man. Thanks….

During one of the opening songs, Jacoby ran out into the crowd and was singing with the front few rows of fans. The looks on some of these kids faces were priceless, you could tell that having one of their heroes directly in their face made their day.

The view from the stage is starting to get ridiculous, there are masses of people still pouring in from the parking lot and it’s beginning to be reminiscent of Coachella with both the heat and the crowd size.

Can’t wait to see how many people are going to be here for Eminem and Kiss!
