Everyone wants to know what they can bring with them to Epicenter 2010.

We’ve found that it is easier to tell people what they can’t bring as to avoid any confusion.  Plus, you all really just want to know if whatever you want to bring is banned.  So we decided to get to the point.

Weapons of any kind (Bazookas are OK)

  • Illegal substances (including narcotics) or drug paraphernalia
  • Alcohol… it will be sold
  • Any outside food or beverage
  • Glass containers
  • Professional photography equipment (no detachable lenses, tri-pods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs)
  • No audio or video recording devices
  • Fireworks or explosives (Kevin, we’re talking to you)
  • Framed or large backpacks
  • Skateboards, scooters, or any other personal or motorized vehicles
  • Bicycles inside the grounds
  • Crocs (Didn’t you get the memo? You look like an idiot)
  • Portable chairs (collapsible or non-collapsible)
  • Umbrellas
  • Coolers
  • Tents
  • Pets (Attention hippies, no birds on your shoulder)
  • Any non-festival sanctioned promotional materials
  • No illegal vending is permitted (That means the guy in the parking lot with the fake KROQ shirts. You suck.)

If you still have questions about what you can and can’t bring in, leave it in the comments below.

And, if you’re unable to attend the show, be sure to tune in this Saturday and Sunday to watch live and uncut performances. You won’t be able to miss it, right on the KROQ.com home page.

The Epicenter Twenty Ten WEBCAST is from Monte Carlo Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Book your stay at montecarlo.com. Monte Carlo. Unpretentiously Luxurious.

When you say “streamed”…. Are you asking about audio or video? The audio will not be heard on KROQ-FM or the normal streaming audio player. We will post a new Ustream video player right here. http://kroq.radio.com/2010/09/24/live-watch-the-kroq-epicenter-twenty-ten-webcast/

Does this include plastic water bottles? It is going to be in the 100′s and the venue charges a lot for a bottle of water!

I believe it does include water bottles.

The ban on scooters does not apply to individuals with disabilities does it. I’m talking about the small electric pride scooters.

    Lightning | KROQ.com
    September 24, 2010 2:02 pm

Yes, we’ve hired a crew of rather large men to carry the disabled around the venue for the day. (Kidding) No, of course not. The disabled may certainly use their scooters etc.

Water bottles are included in this ban?! Last year you let us bring per person 1 gallon bag with snacks and a 1 liter bottle water. Wat the eff happened this year? I better not be paying $4 dollars for a damn water bottle and I prefer not drinking hot water fountain water. :/

    Lightning | KROQ.com
    September 24, 2010 11:48 pm

I believe ALL beverages including water are not allowed. I’m inside now and there’s a food stand every ten feet.

How big is too big of a backpack? Are the Jansport backpacks with the two large pockets too big?

    Lightning | KROQ.com
    September 25, 2010 12:55 pm

They’re saying no to hiking packs with aluminum supports. A normal school-style pack is fine, although they’re not going to allow in bottles. Not because they’re trying to sell you stuff but people drop GHB into water and trip hard.
