We held a contest a while back for the chance to have PHOENIX perform in your backyard, and KROQ listener Larry from La Habra was the lucky man who won. On Monday afternoon, Wahoo’s will be coming out to Larry’s house to serve up some tasty food while the band plays for a small group in his backyard!
We visited Larry yesterday, and he was super stoked on having a bunch of his friends and family over to party in his new backyard with one of the biggest bands on the planet. We then informed Larry that we’d be inviting some KROQ listeners to his house… And after a deep breath and a pause he said, “Go for it, the more the merrier!”
Who needs the Hollywood Bowl when you can enjoy Phoenix and some bomb tacos in the comfort of a small backyard?

I just want to say that I’m really stoked Larry won this contest. When we were talking to him yesterday, he was saying this is one of the best things to ever happen to him and you could see he was still in disbelief that this was all happening. Throw in the fact that he’s opening his house up to even more people shows you what kind of guy he is and how cool our listeners really are.

Larry, please,please pick me! Saw them in Houston in a small venue and they were great! Then I went to Lallapalosa in Chicago just to see Phoenix. Although still my fav band that weekend, they are soooo much better in a small place, such as your backyard???
