First Listen: Escape The Fate “Issues” And “Massacre”

Rock once again emerges from the desert, and this time it’s a little heavier than The Killers. Escape The Fate was formed in Las Vegas and after jamming for two years they released their first full-length album, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion in 2006. 2008 brought their second full length, This War Is Ours.
Escape The Fate will release their self-titled, full length third album, November 2nd on DGC/Interscope Records. To give you a taste of the latest disc, we’re bringing you the first two unofficial singles.
The upcoming CD was produced by Don Gilmore known for his work with Linkin Park, Bullet For My Valentine and Hollywood Undead. According to bassist Max Green, ”This record is the cure for the modern day music epidemic. We’re wiping the slate clean and re-writing rock music as you know it.”
Lead vocalist Craig Mabbit says “We feel like this is our first real record. There were always so many styles in our music, but we bring them all together here.”
The band is on tour with Bullet For My Valentine, hitting the Palladium October 27th. Get your tickets here.

Since you’re probably new to Escape The Fate, check out their video for ”10 Miles Wide” featuring Buck Cherry’s Josh Todd and a gang of the hottest stewardesses ever. “I’ve had it with these mother f’n snakes on this mother f’n plane!”
Escape the Fate won a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance. The gig awarded them the opportunity to open a show on the band’s headlining tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect, which later led to Escape the Fate’s record deal with Epitaph. Their debut five-song EP, There’s No Sympathy for the Dead, appeared in May 2006.
Tour dates followed throughout the summer months, but the band took a break from the road several weeks before the September release of Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, citing personal issues. The album fared well, however, and the band resumed touring soon after. Guitarist Espinoza amicably left the group in 2007, and Ronnie Radke was ousted one year later due to continued drug problems and one charge of battery (which indirectly resulted in the death of an 18-year-old boy). Escape the Fate recruited former Blessthefall vocalist Craig Mabbitt to fill the vacant frontman position, and the revised lineup immediately hit the studio in mid-2008 to record a sophomore album. This War Is Ours was released that October and debuted at number 35 on the Billboard charts selling over 350,000 copies, which is massive by today’s standards.

It’s about time KROQ mentions them. I love these guys! For those of you who can’t stand Craig because you want Ronnie back, why don’t you get mad at Ronnie for doing what he did instead of being mad at Craig? I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with these guys and Craig has changed my life and I love him dearly!! They really are great guys who make mind blowing music!
