Stone Temple Pilot’s frontman Scott Weiland fell off stage on Wednesday night during a show in Cincinnati. After a minute of security trying to help him back on stage, he appeared unharmed and continued on with the rest of the show.

The fall, however, wasn’t the main interest of many who where in attendance at the show. The band was in the middle of a song when Weiland took the fall and many concert-goers reported that the whole minute from when he fell to the time when he got back up on the stage, you were able to hear him singing on-key with perfect pitch and without missing a single note.

Lucky for us who didn’t attend, someone took video right when he fell.

Fast forward to 1:25 to see for yourself.

Hahahahahahaha!!!!! Naw man, I’m not voting with those options. I will say though, on behalf of Mr. Scottie Weiland, that it did look like once he had fallen down in that hole that he stayed in there to finish his vocals before the guitar solo. If any speculation, it would be the fall itself while his vocals could be clearly heard despite the fact that he had tripped and fallen in a hole which would’ve stopped anybody from singing, but…I don’t know. I personally saw STP at their best gig back in 2008 in San Diego and I was second row center and saw every second of Weiland and I saw no lip syncing of any kind. I saw a freakin’ Rock N Roll band doin’ what they do best! So I’m disagreeing with the possibility that STP is turning into Milli Vanilli, but I will agree that that was one hilarious stage accident. Homeboy just up and fell right through the stage floor. Hahahaha damn. Scott Weiland man. Is there anything he can’t do. :) He even falls like a rockstar! Ha! Nice post Guillermo, it made me smile. Can we say “Trippin’ on a hole in a paper cup”! :P

I think the guy is losing it. Back when they were on the All most Acoustic Christmas he sucked ass! You could tell the crowd thought so too. It’s too bad too because they were one of my most favorite 90s bands.

I believe he could still be singing. Just check out what Maynard from Tool does on stage and continues singing. Search youtube for “Maynard Fights Fan”. or go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iU74f_T0UU

maybe he is just that skilled at signing… that even taking a 5ft drop off a stage doesn’t effect him. Flawless… hahahaha

I dont think it was “lip syncing” but they probably play his vocals behind his real vocals to fill it out better..

No way is he lip-syncing. If you’ve heard Core, it’s a total different vocal style so the studio version is out of the question. Weiland is a fantastic artist and I’m sure he’s had worse things happen during concerts that a little fall off stage would be nothing for him. His vocals aren’t perfect in the video either. He also sings with the bullhorn during the “Get away, gotta get away” part and you can’t hear it when he’s fallen off stage. He is NOT lip-syncing. End of story.
