New Video Game To Feature Bad Religion And Several Other KROQ Bands

Rock Band and Guitar Hero may be facing some serious competition soon. Power Gig: Rise of the SixString is a new game coming out in October and will be the first to use a six-string wireless guitar controller that also works as a real electric guitar. And if that’s not enough to get you interested, the game’s playlist features songs by a bunch of KROQ bands, notably Bad Religion, with their song “I Want to Conquer the World.”
The game takes place in a world called Ohm, where music is banned. The objective is to gain freedom by saving rock and roll.
Also on the song list are tracks from Paramore, Jet, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys and Three Days Grace. The game also features Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock, three artists whose songs are exclusive to Power Gig. This game marks the first venture into the video game world for many indie artists as well.
Rise of the SixString is made for XBox 360 and Playstation and will be compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero controllers. You can pre-order the game here. Check out the trailer below!
