Last.fm Trends: Arcade Fire Dominates Charts
After a little over a week Arcade Fire‘s latest album The Suburbs has achieved a near-takeover of pretty much every chart going. With radio play, sales, singles and album charts all swamped by the Canadian stadium-conquering sound it’s time to check the Last.fm charts to see how the band are doing on your playlists.
Last.fm Trends bring you the latest after the jump
Lady Gaga has been a fixture on top of the most played singles on Last.fm for the entirety of 2010, in fact since November last year, and has only held less than three of the top five spots twice.
But not only have Arcade Fire managed to oust her from her chart topping position, they’ve managed to completely dethrone her
Holding every spot in the top five, the band have stormed up. A few of their track entered the top ten last week, vaulting up around 80 places, and now they’ve consolidated that foothold, pushing Gaga down to Number 7.
