Soundgarden’s “Greatest Hits” Guitar Hero Edition
Guitar Hero fans, prepare to bust out some dough for another must-have game, especially if you’re basking in this 90′s revival taking place in your ears and on your TV.
The boys ofSoundgarden are coming out with their greatest hits album titled, “Telephantasm: A Retrospective.” Remember “Black Hole Sun?” You’ll be hearing that song along with their other hits when Telephantasm is released. But what’s this about a “Guitar Hero” edition, you say?

That’s right. Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will have the entire Soundgarden Telephantasm album available for gameplay, out this September 28th. All your favorite Soundgarden songs can be played on all four instruments (guitar, bass, drums, and vocals) and will feature a story mode centered around Rush‘s epic tale, 2112. You can also rock along with some of your other favorite guitar shredding favorites like Jane’s Addiction, Linkin Park, AFI,Stone Temple Pilots, and others.
So if the Guitar Hero edition of Telephantasm is out 9/28, then that means the REAL album will be available for download and at record stores October 5th. That gives you one whole week to test the waters! For now, Soundgarden is just playing music together and getting ready for a tour. Since you’re checking out KROQ for music news, we’ll keep you posted on their tour, cause we’re just as excited as you.

SOUNDGARDEN! This is telephantastic (even if I already knew about this). You guys at kroq are going to play their new single Black Rain, right?

I can’t really… write out how happy I am! It’s like Soundgarden having yet another reunion. I don’t really care about GH anymore, but a special edition of a SG album coming out a week early if you guy the game, I’m going for it.
Yet again, I just realized it’s a just compilation. Greatest hits pretty much, not b-sides and outtakes either. Not too happy anymore. Just one song, Black Rain. Birth Ritual? I already own the Singles soundtrack. Bummer. Now I can’t really type out how… not happy (but not exactly unhappy) I am.
