Should Lisa May Feed The Feral Cats?

Today the guys yelled at Lisa May about feeding the feral cats at KROQ. For those of you who don’t know there is a bit of history on this topic.
For years the KROQ building has had a major problem with feral cats. At one point they started breeding and vicious baby feral cats roamed the parking lot. The evil cats got progressively more bold in their behavior. It got to the point where you walked by a cat and they hissed at you, jumped you, stole your wallet and then took out an eye as they ran off.
Ok, maybe it wasn’t that bad, but they did start to run around the parking lot, demanding to be fed. They wouldn’t stop for cars, and a few of them lost their lives because they were bold but not fast enough.

The feral cat situation got way out of control and the city stepped in. We had the majority of them removed and had the rest fixed.
We thought all was well until a few days ago we found out Lisa May has been feeding the cats for about a year now. The guys disagree with her actions.
We also found out that the cats have been pooping in the entrance of KROQ stinkin’ the place up. Just saying. Listen for yourself and tell us what you think Lisa should do.

You guys should contact a Trap and Release program. These people trap the cats, sterilize them and let them back out. Eventually the problem fixes itself. No muss, no fuss.

We have the same problem with a crazy bag lady and her thug cats that harass our premises. These cats run rotine patrol’s that include pissing/sleeping on people’s car’s, creating roadblocks, and god forbid you walk by a bush where they are napping htey will start growling and scowling at you. They have set up a base of operations in which to run theyre operations behind a bush in back parking lot. The cats have more recently begun a eradication of squirels in the local area. These cats and their master must be stopped!

Get them fixed. My friend feeds ferral cats but also fixes them so they popular doesn’t increase.

Equal part distilled white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Squirt their favorite areas & the smell will drive them away. If you should *accidentally* squirt the cat, it won’t harm them (thought they will pretty seriously dislike you). Some folks claim that it isn’t necessary to dilute but that seems more like more of a preference than rule.

I kinda have the same problem at home. My older brother and his wife have about 5 cats and one crazy annoying dog. I gave up on washing my car because every time I would wash the car the cats would leave their paws imprinted all over car. the only way I can get back at them is when i put my car in the drive-way. I step on the gas & honk the horn all the way in until they jump away to other houses. (But I think the cats are kinda getting used to it).

I had this same problem in my neighborhood and I trapped/fixed 6 cats and found home for 3 litters before I got to the “Queen” and stopped the problem. I spent close to $1000 to do the right thing, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s people that suck, not cats! Be responsible and take charge.

Feeding feral cats just perpetuates the problem…they eat, they breed and now they’ve become a nuisance. Yes, some may lose their lives without Lisa May’s benevolence, but it’s a tough world. The strongest survive. Contact LA’s animal control department or the local humane society and they should be able to help (AND they’ll tell you not to feed them!).

How are your ferral cats Lisa? It’s very sweet but pretty funny too!
