It’s August, and boy is it heating up.  KROQ and The Troubadour want to keep it that way by showcasing a slew of sizzling local artists.

Locals Only favorites Young the Giant (formerly The Jakes) have been gaining serious momentum in the music scene, and we think you should know about it.  Starting this month, the OC natives are headlining a KROQ Locals Only showcase every Sunday at The Troubadour.  If you happened to miss Kat spinning their track “Cough Syrup”, take a listen.

Young the Giant just gave us their new single “My Body” to give to you for FREE! Click the download arrow and it’s yours. Their upcoming self-titled album hits stores October 26th so you’re getting a really early taste.

saw them live, no idea who they were beforehand so total fluke. best live band ive EVER seen… hands down. their stuff you can find online is good, but its no match for how insanely good they are live. check it!
