Saturday’s Unity Tour From The Lawn Section
Thanks to Livenation and their $10 a piece ticket sales I was able to attend (afford) the Unity Tour with Pepper, The Offspring and 311 on Saturday night. The Verizon Wireless amphitheater was packed with rowdy fans eagerly awaiting the night’s performances.

So when my boyfriend and I finally entered Verizon Wireless we made the trek to locate the nearest alcohol beverage vendor. We decided upon Bud Light to quench our thirst and made our way up the steep hill to the lawn section. After I got more beer on my hands then in my mouth we decided to sit right near the edge of the fence in the very front.
Pepper was the first to make their way to the stage in their red, lifeguard board shorts with no shirts and white sunscreen on their noses. They opened the show with a bang, making a great start to the night.

When it was The Offspring‘s turn to perform, the mosh pits gathered on both side of us. Luckily for my boyfriend and I we were smack dab in the middle of two of them. Within these tornadoes of people were fire pits and smoldering t-shirts being flung around.

While dancing and singing along to ‘Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)’ I notice a topless girl atop someones shoulders. With the glow of light from video cameras surrounding her, I’m sure Miss. Attention Lover thought she was the queen of the ball.
Needless to say, The Offspring rocked the place and left fans chanting “One more song, one more song!” Of course who wouldn’t after hearing the set-closer ‘Self Esteem.’ When it was 311′s turn to wow the crowd they sure did with the classics like, ‘Come Original’ and my favorite ‘Beautiful Disaster.’ Everyone at the concert were on their feet the whole time feeding off the energy of fans and the music.
Making the walk back down the hill was a mission in itself. Although, if you’re in a situation that is similar to downtown L.A. traffic during rush hour a quick way to get through the crowds is to yell ‘I gotta throw up!’ You wouldn’t believe how fast people move out of your way.
So that was how I experienced Saturday’s Unity Tour. If you went, did you enjoy it? Anything interesting happen? Share the night festivities and post your pictures.

Sounds rad…hope the sound crew for The Offspring was better than @ Summerfest in July. Couldn’t hear any vocals and the bass was overpowering everything else; they sounded like sh*t.

Out of all the offspring shows ive been to, this one was probably the best one… besides the dumb girl who decided that a charbroiled sweatshirt was better than no sweatshirt at all. and when she tried to put it out the whole crowd started booing her… needless to say thats how the Offspring ended there set… with the whole crowd booing… dumb girls
