I remember my first Weenie Roast (well besides the one at Bible Camp, but that was ever so very different)… 1996. Korn, specifically JD, had some stage fright issues playing the hot afternoon sun at Irvine Meadows (that’s what we called Verizon Wireless Amphitheater back in my day). How long ago was 1996? Well, gather ’round youngsters. The very first band to take the stage for the 1996 Weenie Roast was a little band out of Orange County that goes by the name of No Doubt. Garbage, 311, Chili Peppers and Everclear were also standouts that day.
Now get off my lawn you crazy kids!
