Own A Piece Of Rock Memorabilia: The OG Sublime Touring Van

For $19,000 (as of now), YOU can own the legendary van that Sublime toured in and wrote songs about back in their prime. The 1986 Ford E-Series Econoline Van is currently up for auction on Ebay and is a piece of rock history, complete with bullet holes (for “ventilation”) and full-sized mattress.
There’s only 1 day left on the auction, so hurry up and jump on the chance to own something as cool as this. Imagine all the hot-boxing that went down in that thing…
Get all the info on this sweet ride after the jump.

The van was originally purchased by Bradley Nowell’s dad, then sold to Bud Gaugh after Brad’s untimely death. The van was used to tour throughout CA, and was featured on album covers and in songs like “Stand By My Van.” The van sat in Bud’s yard for a while until the formation of Long Beach Dub Allstars, when it was used to go to local shows and events. Eventually, the van ended back up in Bud’s yard until a close friend of the guys took it off his hands.

“You may ask yourself how can I part with this supreme specimen of American art in automobiles. Well, after owning and driving it for years I felt that I could no longer keep it cooped up in an undisclosed warehouse. I felt that it needed to be out in the world to serve a true fan. A reputable music museum or maybe an up and coming band in need of some serious inspiration.”
There you have it. For $19k, maybe this van can inspire you to do great things.

I’m a fan since forever and all, but I wouldn’t want to pay upwards of 19,000 for “memorabilia” that probably smells of spilt bongwater. I have my carpet for that.

All the more reason to have a public execution of Bud and Eric. As if $ublime with Rome is not a big enough joke/cash cow/piss on Bradley’s grave – you have to go out and sell your old van for way more than it’s worth? Pathetic.

To be fair, they don’t own the van anymore. A friend of theirs does and is selling it…
