With rumors abound that Rage Against the Machine will be heading back in the studio to record new music, frontman Zach De La Rocha is taking some time to play a few local shows with his side project One Day As A Lion.  Comprised of De La Rocha and former drummer of The Mars Volta Jon Theodore, One Day As A Lion have yet to play any U.S. shows… until now, that is.

Click more to watch their video for Wild International and to see where you can catch One Day As A Lion in their first U.S. performance ever.

Earlier this week, the band announced via their MySpace that they’d be playing their first U.S. shows in Pomona on July 17th and Los Angeles on July 18th. Unfortunately a few minor details have yet to be released; like the venues of the shows for example.  Starting on Wednesday, you can buy tickets to the Pomona show here and the Los Angeles show here, but the exact locations will not be released until the show dates.  So you’ll just have to be on your toes!

All the other information you need (minus the venues, of course) can be found here.

And just to get you warmed up for their performances, check out One Day As A Lion’s awesome video for Wild International.
