Remix Linkin Park’s New Song And YOU May Be Featured On Their New Album

Linkin Park is doing something unique by giving one lucky fan the opportunity to be featured on their new album, A Thousand Suns, which will be released on September 14th.

The band has made audio stems (raw musical parts) of the song “The Catalyst” available for download, and wants YOU to remix them. The best remix will be featured on the new album!

“The Catalyst” is the first single off the album and will probably hit KROQ’s airwaves soon.

1. DESCRIPTION: The “Linkin Park Featuring…You” (“Contest”) is a music mix contest administered through the online networking community and music service MySpace Music. You must be a registered MySpace.com user and a registered IndabaMusic.com user  (“Registered User”) in order to participate in the Contest or win a prize. Registration on MySpace and Indaba Music is free, and can be obtained by logging on to www.myspace.com and www.indabamusic.com, Contest “Submission Period”: The Contest Submission Period begins on or about July 9, 2010 and ends on July 25, 2010 at 11:59 am Pacific Time (“Submission Period”).

• Contest Judging: Submissions will be judged on an on-going basis throughout the Submission Period through July 26, 2010. Eligible Contest submissions will be judged according to the criteria in Section 6 of the Official Rules.
• Winner Notification: On or about July 26, 2010, one (1) “Potential Winner” will be contacted to confirm eligibility and obtain releases, according to Section 8 of the Official Rules. For purposes of these Official Rules, all times are Pacific Time.

The Submission must meet the following guidelines:

• Submissions must be a minimum of two (2) minutes and a maximum of six (6) minutes in duration;
• Submissions must use the Branded Assets, as provided on the Contest Site; and
• Submissions may, but are not required to, include Personal Assets (in compliance with content restrictions below); and
• Submissions must be in a file format accepted by the Contest Site.
