New Video: She & Him “Thieves”
She & Him, the indie-rock duo made up of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, recently released the video for their song “Thieves,” which is the second single off their new album Volume Two.
Those who aren’t familiar with She & Him may be surprised to find out that lead singer and keyboardist, Zooey Deschanel, is also a successful actress who’s starred in movies like Yes Man and 500 Days of Summer. Guitarist and producer M. Ward is equally impressive in his own right, penning music with his primary band, Rodriguez , and now with the all-star folk collaboration, Monsters of Folk, which also includes Jim James of My Morning Jacket and Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes.
Deschanel and Ward met in 2006 on the set of a soundtrack project for the film, The Go-Getter. The two hit it off and have been collaborating ever since.

If you didn’t catch the duo at Coachella, you can see them at the Hollywood Bowl on July 17th, performing with The Swell Season and The Bird and the Bee.

As much as I love Zooey (and I do, frightfully so), it pisses me off when actors decide that they haven’t achieved the level of fame or attention that they want, so they decide to start a band. Like Jared Leto and that awful band he’s in….dude’s almost forty and he’s rich….quit acting like you’re in some low budget indie band…..Well, in Zooey’s case, at least it’s better than anything Katy Perry has ever done. Especially Russell Brand. Zing.
