MUSIC VIDEO: Pearl Jam’s “Amongst The Waves”

The members of Pearl Jam love the water and given that they’re in a position to do something to protect our mother ocean, they’ve launched pearljam.com/oceans and premiered their new video for “Amongst the Waves” in an effort to raise awareness.
Eddie Vedder in particular has always had an open love affair with the deep blue sea. In fact, the first 3 songs he ever wrote for Pearl Jam were written after an early morning surf session.
The video is beautiful and a must-see for anyone who has ever been moved and inspired by our waters. Besides being a breathtaking homage to the ocean, the video for “Amongst the Waves” will be available for sale on iTunes starting July 6th with proceeds from the U.S. sale of the video benefiting partner organization Conservation International’s Ocean Campaign.
The video is streaming for free from www.pearljam.com/oceans and at www.nationalgeographic.com or you can simply click more to view it.
For a long time, Eddie Vedder and the members of Pearl Jam have openly discussed their love of the ocean and along with that, have always encouraged their fans to take better care of it because it is in more danger than any one of us realize.
On www.pearljam.com/oceans , you’ll find a list of things you can do to look after the ocean for present and future generations.
Here’s further proof of Eddie Vedder’s commitment to the ocean:
On April 19th, 2008 The Kelly Slater Foundation held a private fundraiser for Trestles Beach featuring a solo performance by Eddie Vedder.
