After departing Alpine fresh with 140db of crisp clean sound, I headed out to the 951 to meet Carlos at Lexani Wheels.

Carlos runs Lexani Lifestyle Group. Lexani has grown far beyond just making automotive wheels. After over a decade of being the brand of choice for hundreds of car clubs and car geeks around the world, Lexani has reached deeper into their customers’ lives by building complete custom cars, offering tires, throwing must-see events and so much more.

I found Carlos upstairs on the sales floor acting busy. He wasn’t foolin’ anyone.

Here’s something that blew me away. Lexani purchased RBP! Apparently this happened a while back and somehow I missed it.

For those of you into full-size trucks, you know the RBP has taken over the market. They started with exhaust systems and programmers for diesels then began offering wheels… And now they have just about every c0ol mod you could ever want for your monster truck. Lexani clearly understands that this is a growing market and jumped at the chance to align themselves with this up-and-coming leader.

Lexani is about diversity. They have wheels for sports cars, trucks and as seen above, widebody kits for wide range of cars. (Well, actually the widebody kits are those of their sister company, Asanti). The lip on these Asanti wheels have got to be over a foot wide. Damn! The widebody Camaro above is an exact duplicate of the car they built for Quentin Rampage Jackson. I’ve seen Quentin’s car up close and the inside lips of the wheels have RAMPAGE painted in red.

Although slightly more conservative, the Camaro above still has some flavor.

Now, this crazy blue donk above is nuts. Yes, in the Dirty South, these cars are called donks. Check out this site for better look at this craze.

Maybe you heard about these wheels a few years ago. If you buy a set of these Asanti wheels, they through in a free Bently GT. Uh, yeah. you buy the wheels and the $200k car is on the house. So, what do the wheels cost? You don’t even want to know.

Above, the yellow wheel on the left is a 22″ and the chrome on the right is a 24″. What does that make the stoned out wheels in the middle? Big.

Although not my cup of tea, this purple guy is bound to match somebody’s ride.

Now, this wheel is nuts. the skulls and flames are actually under the clear coat. The photo doesn’t actually do them justice. They’re definitely a conversation piece.

Carbon fiber look us cool.

To match your burlwood interior.

And, lastly a wheel fit for a king. At least this one reminds me of something that an Saudi prince would rock.

Now, which wheels and tires did I choose for the X5? I’d love to show you but I’ll keep it a secret till the reveal after the next installment. Now I’m off to Magnaflow for a custom exhaust! I’m telling you. I’m going to take this old ’01 BMW X5 and make it look cool.

Yup, you’re right. Apparently my fact checking is sloppy.

Lexani wheels are ‘bling bling’ type wheels that are not considered elite. I guess it depends on the set up and taste of the person driving the car. BBS, Volk Wheels, Axis, and HRE’s are more reputable brands. In my opinion, HRE 991R are better suited for the X5, deep dish, silver spoke finish, sick offset, and wide enough for flush fitment.
