bret Most Ridiculous Concert Pairings Of The Summer

So we had the KROQ Weenie Roast 2010 last month, the line up for Epicenter Twenty-Ten is about to be unleashed and if the rumors hold any truth, that will also be a doozy. With the likes of the 2010 Mayhem Festival, Warped Tour, Honda Civic Tour, The Unity Tour, Ozzfest and The American Carnage Tour, this summer is filled with ”all-star” team ups.

On the flip side though, I’ve seen some tour team-ups that have made me laugh, made me cringe and/or made me straight up confused. If the picture above is any indication, you may share some good times with me.

Help me give these ridiculous tours names after the jump.

The Cooking With Clowns Tour

Headliner: INSANE CLOWN POSSE

Supporting: COOLIO (Yes, THE Coolio)

Now I understand this tour has come to a close, but it doesn’t take away from the fact it probably was one of the craziest shows with a pretty odd pairing. I’m not an avid Coolio follower, but I figured music had stopped becoming a reliable source of income for him sometime around 1996. As for ICP, I assumed their acne had gotten so out of control because of that make up they would have given it up also.

A while ago you may have heard Coolio come on Kevin & Bean and talk about his “Cookin’ With Coolio” Series. Check out a free sample of the series at the end of this post.

The Grammy Nominated, Fully Intoxicated Tour

Headliner: CREED

Supporting: SKILLET

Without even touching religion, it’s still pretty easy to bust on these bands although it is pretty hard to stay away from little boys. If you didn’t know, both of these acts have deep, DEEP rearing in religious-rock. But none of this is meant to take away from the fact that Skillet got bum-rushed out of winning a Grammy & Creed managed to grab one.

Or the fact Scott Stapp is an alcoholic.

The Under Age Aneurysm Tour

Headliner: MILEY CYRUS

Supporting: BRET MICHAELS

Alternate Name: Rock of Love 4

Now, while this isn’t a real tour, the two did collaborate on Good Morning America last Friday. So just in case they ever did decide to take to the road together, I’ve given them two strong potential names.

But, now I call on YOU KROQ.com readers.

What would you name these sub-par touring pairings? Fire away in the comments below!

How about an indie band with any other band. That is pretty weak.

On the ICP/Coolio tour, this is made 10x more ridiculous, by the fact that, at least at the Vegas show, Kittie was the ‘opener’ for Coolio, who was the opener for ICP. I went just to watch the audience kill each other. I blame the Ticketmaster/Livenation merge for this. They seem to have fired all the people at Livenation who actually listened to music.
