Street Sweeper Social Club To Release New EP
Fresh off the announcement that they’ll be playing this year’s Rock The Bells, Street Sweeper Social Club have released the track listing of their upcoming EP titled Ghetto Blaster. Along with original songs, the duo of Tom Morello and Boots Riley will be releasing a cover of one KROQ’s biggest songs of the past few years along with a cover of one of hip hop’s biggest names.

Street Sweeper Social Club have been known to cover M.I.A.‘s “Paper Planes” at their live shows, but now they’ve recorded their version and will be including it on Ghetto Blaster. You can watch their version of “Paper Planes” from last year’s NIN/JA tour here:
And if that’s not enough cover-action for you, Ghetto Blaster will also feature a cover of LL Cool J‘s “Mama Said Knock You Out.” Intrigued as I am? You’ll have to look out for Ghetto Blaster in stores on July 27th.

Stoked for this. Saw these guys at Epicenter last year and was blown away. The cover of Paper Planes is better than the original.
