Weenie Roast Interview: Passion Pit

Dance-pop electronica group Passion Pit sat down with Kevin and Bean and the crew for their Weenie Roast debut.  The guys will be one of the first taking the Weenie Roast side stage with their infectious electronic dance hits.  Here’s what the guys had to say to the morning show hosts about their skyrocket to fame.

Their debut album Manners has been out for a year already, but the guys of Passion Pit are just now blowing up onto the scene.  Lead singer/keys Michael Angelakos talked about their sudden rise to fame saying:

We’ve been really lucky.  Either things happen very quickly, or it doesn’t happen at all.

Passion Pit also released a delux edition of Manners in April, and they’re hitting the road with global phenomena Muse this summer.  The group is stoked to have the opportunity to open for such a respected band saying:

They’re one of the best live bands around.  We’re excited to learn from them on this tour.

Passion Pit is making their Weenie Roast debut early this afternoon and judging from the huge crowd gathered around for their interview, their catchy electro grooves are a set to watch.
