Anthrax And Fall Out Boy Combine Forces For New Supergroup
If thrash-metal icons Anthrax were fused with members of Fall Out Boy and Every Time I Die, you would have The Damned Things, the newest rock supergroup to emerge in the music scene.
This unlikely heavy-metal supergroup has just released a batch of new songs that was released early this week on the their official MySpace page, as well as their website.
See what the boys of FOB, ETID and Anthrax combined forces can dish out.

The band features guitarists Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of Anthrax, Fall Out Boy’s drummer Andy Hurley and guitarist Joe Trohman, and Keith Buckley of Every Time I Die as frontman.
“We’re trying not to over-think it,” chimes in Ian. “Nobody’s arm is being twisted to be here. We’re just doing it as we go along, and this is the natural progression. […] We’re able to do things exactly how we want to do them by keeping it simple and comfortable for everyone.”
Needless to say with so many veteran rockers all in one band these tunes are pretty heavy and have a scorching fast classic rock approach to the heavy metal genre that is kind of refreshing.
The band debuted their first live gig this past Tuesday in Brooklyn and are already on a rampage tour through Europe that is leaving many people to question, “Can this be the great new heavy metal group of this decade?”
I really hope so.
