I’m a die hard L.A. Kings fan. This year they made the playoffs, but lost in the first round. But I’m also a die hard hockey fan, and while the NBA Finals start tomorrow night, and the World Cup starts June 11, don’t miss out on the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Games 1 and 2 of the 7 game series were won by the Chicago Blackhawks in Chicago. Game 3 is tonight. And this one is in Philadelphia, ironically named the “City of Brotherly Love.” Check it out at 5 P.M. (PDT) on Versus, channel 603 on Directv. Right after bull riding. And right before bull riding.

First…what it’s like to win the ultimate prize in Hockey: The Stanley Cup
The Philadelphia Flyers defied all the odds. They only made the playoffs on a shootout, in the very last game of the season. They weren’t favored to beat anyone along the way. They were behind 3 games to 0 in a 7 game series against Boston, and WON.
The last time a team came back from 3-0 in the playoffs was 35 years ago. Now they’re down 2 games to the Chicago Blackhawks, which for most teams is disastrous. But not this year’s Flyers.

The NHL Stanley Cup Finals is like the NBA mixed with the UFC. On steroids. And Red Bull. And Meth. Don’t be bad. Just watch it.
