Marilyn Manson Paints “LOST”

Remember shock rocker, Marilyn Manson? He’s had a handful of hits played here on KROQ, and has such a loyal and equally creepy fan base that it would make a 1970′s Alice Cooper blush.
Blood, gore and mock nudity aside, Marilyn is an artist in not only music, but in the oil-on-canvas-enthusiast way. As a lover of mind-boggling TV shows, Manson and his band watches the TV show LOST religiously almost as much as our KROQ joq, Sluggo… Maybe even more, seeing as how Manson painted his own piece of fan art, inspired by LOST.

Who would’ve thought Marilyn Manson and his band would be bigger fanboys than Sluggo, or The Kevin & Bean Show?
This painting was posted on the Marilyn Manson band Facebook this past Thursday and is getting thumbs up from the diehard LOST fans to even the casual viewers!

Manson made the painting as a reminder of the oh so close series finale and for band mate Twiggy Ramirez who’s also consumed with Lost. It’s a caricature of Terry O’Quinn, who plays the main character John Locke on the show.
This would make any fan squeal, probably as much as hearing, “Previously, on LOST…”

I think this painting is great, Manson’s paintings are actually most of the time amazing, I remember a simple flower he painted, could have been drawed by anyone and though I still remember it. It’s just as desturbing and full of talent as his music.
@DJ: If you still think that art is about technique, it means that you’ve missed alot of things in the past century, and also that _ obviously _ you could not have “drawn” that painting, as a matter of fact, if you could, you would.
