This is the best line up in a while…best thing about it: No metal bands. Can’t wait to go! Hole, Silversun, Devo, Temper Trap, STP… this is going to be great. (not to mention that U2 is playing June 6th and 7th with Lenny Kravitz at Angel Stadium! -what a great three days!)

I’ve been a fan of Hole since the early 90s.. just caught their show in Hollywood last month and I have to say.. HUGE disappointment. Courtney’s just not what she used to be
Tix were $45 and she played for a total of 45 minutes.. such a let down.

offspring is playing 91x fest this year in san diego. idk about cypress hill, don’t care much about them. Not worth it though, 311 is headlining their tour (unless you like 311, then it may be better for you) they’re playing their new material at those shows.

Yeah, well, wolfie…that’s your opinion. I have mine and that’s that! Unless you were born after 1985 then you’d understand my view that “Violet” has been played out for a person of my age and I’m ready for new tracks by Mz Love. Yes, she tore up “Violet” and “Skinny Little Bitch” but I was too busy hangin’ with these two sexy girls at the beginning of Night 2′s gig to fully capture here “rocked” essence. Though she pretty much rocked that set of Night 2!!! I was 3rd row center in the pit when Courtney played “Samantha” and what I saw from where I was was the best rendition of that song played at that point in time which blinded me with excitement and awe as I stared into Mz. Loves eyes… I’m not going to take credit that I was the one she pointed out at because the pit was a little intense and there were tons of people rocking as hard as I was but that is my reason for the vid link!!! It was my moment where I realized how great Hole’s Night 2 Hollyweird gig was! And how much of a Rockstar Courtney Love really is…so say what you will but I know where I stand and where I stood 2nd almost front row center for the second half of that show. Where were you???

i dont get why sublime is above deftones on the poster ? i think they should be second i like sublime but they are no where near as good as deftones. STP deftones hole silversun pickups paramore spoon the line up is pretty good but 1 the prices are outrages just the ticketmaster fees make my head want to explode and 2 why is it that every year its at the same shitty location that verizon wireless amphitheater is a horrible venue that lawn is terrible ive seen ppl roll down on it . personally i like concerts where there are no seats and its just general admission i dont know if ill go to this

AMEN!!! General admission floor is the best way to see line ups of bands within a day long event! But sad the fact may be, lots of people want to sit down and just enjoy a show and not fight for a decent spot! That’s why amphitheaters slope down like an arena. Verizon and others like it are only good at the first five rows of Loge, ORCH, and PIT! And that is where the rub comes in with that harsh pricing though you have to figure it like $20 per your favorite band and then hit the equals button to see if its really worth it. I’m down if I can get a ticket that is! That’s my bummer, the overloads of people trying to get tickets!

Been going to these for over a decade and this has got to be the weakest lineup ever for Weenie Roast. STP and Silversun are awesome, everything else is not inspiring though. Sublime with Rome is essentially a cover band since Brad Nowell WAS Sublime. Hole, really? Deftones haven’t made a good album in 10 years.
Oh and I love how KROQ just now started to play Spoon even though they’ve been around 10 years. Way to lead the pack KROQ! You used to break bands and really introduce new music, now you just follow. Kings Of Leon got no love from KROQ until Sex On Fire, even though they made 3 great albums. Now they blow them up! Well done!

I’d just like to say… Nice lineup KROQ!!! Got all the essential elements together for a kick off to yet another spirited summer! Something for the veterans, something for the rookies, something for the chicks, and even something for the kids! Ha! Cage the Elephant is my band of choice to watch on the lineup cause they rocked ACX 09′ right! That’ll be great and ofcourse HOLE!!! I knew Courtney would be coming back with some more SoCal love!!! She definitely kicked Hollyweirds ass! So now she”ll get a chance to kick Irvwhine’s ass too!!! Ha! I hope I can get a ticket. Only ORCH or PIT!!!! Since Metallica in 08′ I’ve decided to set standards. No LOGE!!! Plus, hell yeah! I really do wanna hear Scotty Weiland play “Between the lines” LIVE!!! And Deftones!!! And Sublime with Rome playing “Doin’ Time” while the heat and beer bake you up in the sun…chillness! And DEVO! Nice surprise! I’ve been wanting to see them live too!!! I’d suggest keeping your adult beverages on the lowlow! Security is kinda hardcore on rules and regulations and who wants to get a ticket or be arrested before a gig, ya know! If you’re gonna sleep in your car I’d park in the 24 HRS Carl’s Jr. parking lot of the 5 fwy and Lake Forest…they’re pretty chill about that! Ha!

First 5 rows of LOGE. Any where in ORCH. And if you’re lucky enough, PIT!!! Anywhere beyond the first 5 rows of LOGE, TERRACE, and LAWN…yeah! You’re definitely not going to enjoy it as much. Simple fact that the farther you are the less you’re going to see. But! If you’re just going to experience the vibe, any ticket is all you need! Best is ORCHESTRA!!! That’s all I can say from the 7 times I’ve been there. Good Luck!

Yeah, its worth the money, if you’re a baller on a budget.
Just try your luck for the first ten rows of Center Terrace though cause beyond that you’re only going to be looking at the screens the whole night cause Terrace is kinda a long way up despite what Ticketmaster or Live nation say. Good luck to you squinkgirl!

Depends!…are you there to party? LAWN is for most of the party people who tend to get a little rowdy or for peeps with a gang of friends and unless you’re in the front spots of the lawn you can’t really see the screens let alone the actual stage. Rear terrace is horrible because some of the rowdy LAWN peeps end up tossing trash down from there aimlessly targeting the rear terrace peeps and trust me, no one likes to be hit with an empty cup filled with dirt, I seen it happen. Its funny but not cool. Especially if its you! If you’re gonna do Terrace, Side Terrace is the only way but believe me when I say you’ll be needing binoculars just to get a clearer view of the TV screens! Again, if you’re there to party and enjoy reguardless then yeah! Side Terrace is cool. Center Terrace would be the best out of all the Terrace! Just try to get the first 10 rows of Center Terrace though, that’s the best. Good luck to you jenny!

I’m going with no, Verizon’s security is pretty anal when it comes to re-entry and tail-gating in the parking lots. But its the price to pay to enjoy a classic KROQ gig! Plus, they have more than enough space to walk around and hang between the Side stage and main stage, vendor booths, and alcoholic beverage stands. Its pretty damn good!

What happened to side stage?! I’ve been out of concert mode for awhile having kids but the side staged used to rock the locals making the wienie roast one of my fav concerts to goto.

Went to weenie roast 09 pit and plan on doing it again this yr…Pit is the only way to go its do worth the extra 30 bucks compared to lawn…still one of the best concerts I’ve been to! sublime n dirty heads were great 420 At the palladium so Im extremely excited for this lineup except i would have Looved it to include rise against :/

The last best line up of bands was when the weenie roast was @ Angel Stadium..Yes, they had one @ the Big A. Glad STP signed on for this weenie roast..or else hum drum.Glad I saw them @ the Hollywood Bowl in 2008.If anyone does decides to go to this event..I guarantee STP..will smoke all of the other bands.Sublime, good too and Devo…Interesting …Anymore, good bands left ????

The ticket prices are all messed up! I paid $75 plus fees for terrace seats…what’s going on?

Yes it was possible to get an Orchestra ticket. I did & it was not the first ticket I pulled. I threw back the Loge seat & gambled for better. I lucked out but it was a gamble.
With this show just be glad to be going. Once you’ve gone over 10+ times than you can start getting picky about where u sit

You are correct. I spoke to Ticketmaster. I think most of the best seats are still available for the public sale. The pre sale seats weren’t that great and in order to get decent seats, you had to purchase tickets one at a time. Next time I suggest just waiting for the public sale… instead of purchasing the pre sale tickets and getting stuck paying $75 for, per KROQ, $55 Terrace seats.

There were no seats available for the public sale…went on just out of curiosity and only came up with LAWN unless you are buying single tix…glad I purchase during the presale. I still don’t understand how I got Terrace seats when I had my tix in less than 2 minutes though…
BTW…if you paid $75 for Terrace, call the promo dept…you will get a refund for the over charge…Thanks KROQ!

Thanks Jenn for the heads up. I also was overcharged $75 +, instead of $45 for Rear Side Terrace: $45.00 + $12.85 Ticketmaster service charge + $6.00 parking = $63.85 per ticket.
I have tried calling (323) 930-1067 and asking for the promotions dept. like Lightning posted, but lines are Busy. Figures they would be, everyone trying to win tickets. Is there any other number you know of? Thanks again.

I don’t understand. I got terrace section 13. This should be center terrace. Then according to the posted ticket prices with service charges it should be: Center Terrace: $55.00 +$14.00 Ticketmaster service charge + $6.00 parking = $75.00 per ticket right?
Instead I got charged: Ticket Price $75.00 +$14.90 convenience charge + $6.00 facility charge = $95.90 per ticket
Which adds up to the orchestra/loge ticket prices. Anybody else who get terrace get charged this?

We are saying we paid $75+Fees=$95.90 per ticket for center terrace. This price is equal to the orchestra/loge.
If you are saying Center terrace is $75+fees=$95.90, then you are saying that the post today, and the email we all got is wrong. Also, is there a investigation going into this and wait for an official response, or should we call promotions if we think there’s a problem?

WOW, that was the worst Ticketmaster PRESALE event I’ve ever bought tickets at… U2 was much better. I got tickets but in Section 10 – Row BBB.
Guess I can’t complain to much, since it looks like a lot of people didn’t even get tickets at all. I think I got overcharged too… $96.60/ticket I think TM charged EVERYONE the same price for all the tickets sold… KROQ, can you check this out?

Saw STP a little over a year ago at the Hollywood Bowl. Shelled out good money for sweet seats and it turns out they Sucked (yes capital S). The band played well, but Scott Weiland was just plain crap. I’d love to say he was just f*’d up and high, but the voice wasn’t there at all.
BIG letdown. Don’t get your hopes up on hearing anything close to what you’re expecting from them.

Would go but because everyone has fallen prey to Ticketmaster’s BS i can not purchase seats together even though i sat waiting till the clock struck 12 to try and buy tickets, the “brokers” (aka licensed scalpers) had control over the entire venue. after trying in vain to buy tickets through ticket master i checked a brokerage site and they already had hundreds available it’s only 12:20 now…sucks for us.

been every year for the past seven years except when ludo was there.won pit tickets when motley crue closed i think 07 every show was beyound awesome,and won tickets last night on the radio.slamm im there.might have two extra tickets.maybe a couple of hot chicks. eric

Devo is a musical laxative for a constipated society. Give Devo a chance. Besides, look at all the bands that have covered their songs, which include Nirvana, A Perfect Circle, Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden. Nuff said!

Anyone guess who the Unannounced band will be? I am going with U2. Yes, that is correct. They play Angels stadium the day after and I believe the Monday show hasnt sold out yet. What perfect way to get more bodies into Angels stadium then to come and play on the 5th just 20 minutes away. Bank on it and get your Weenie Roast tickets.

Saw Hole on May 1. Terrible and saw them back in the good days in the 90′s when they were good, too. Saw Deftones twice this month. Watch out, the new material rocks hard with Steph’s new 8 string. Deftones always tear it up. Stp is always a good show. I’m in Dallas so I miss KROQ and HB. Stop you’re complaining.

I know that Ticketmaster said “GA Pit includes:
VIP Parking, VIP Party Pass and a limited edition Weenie Roast 2010 Eco-Friendly Bag.” And that GA Pit is Will Call Only. I managed (somehow) to get pit tix, but they have already been delivered, which makes me wonder about the will call only part. Other than that, I also was wondering about the parking and bag – will there be parking attendents who have the bags and will direct people with pit tickets to the VIP parking? Lightning, if you know, holla. Thanks.
