Unquestionably two of rock’s most talented musicians, former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante and The Mars Volta‘s guitarist Omar Rodriguez Lopez, have just released a “name your price” album in the name of charity.

Not much has been heard from John Frusciante since his split with the Red Hot Chili Peppers last year, but that doesn’t mean we’ve heard the last of his impact on the music world. It was recently revealed that Frusciante has teamed up with The Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez Lopez to produce a free 7-track instrumental EP.
Available on Lopez’s website, fans can choose the option of either downloading the untitled album for free or naming their own price with all proceeds going directly to the “Keep Music In Schools” programs.
