Coachella Artist Spotlight: Camera Obscura
Camera Obscura is not your average dark-room optical device anymore, these Scotties have been playing music since 1996. Straight outta Glasgow, you seriously haven’t heard anything quite like the voice of lead singer Tracyanne Campbell. They’re playing day two of Coachella, April 17th. Lucky for you, Obscura just dodged the volcanic ash — they’re currently on tour and just finished up in Mexico this past Tuesday, so they won’t be stuck at a UK airport like some of the other bands playing this weekend.

They don’t sound like your typical ultra-indie hipster band. It might tickle your fancy if you also were a fan of Feist, The Byrds, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, or The Velvet Underground. If you like what you hear, become a fan! They’re currently on tour. Here’s a lil’ taste of Camera Obscura, if you don’t watch it through, people will start to think negatively of you.
