dirtyheadsbbq 385x2401 EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: The Dirty Heads Throw A BBQ For KROQ

Our good friends in The Dirty Heads stopped by and brought a few cases of Corona, some burgers and dogs, and their buddy Rome and played a small acoustic set for the KROQ staff on the back lawn of the KROQ studios!

The BBQ was streamed live for your enjoyment, but if you weren’t able to catch it, don’t worry…we got the performance on video for you!

Check out the video after the jump!

Check them out performing “Stand Tall,” “Believe,” and “Lay Me Down.”

Big thank you to the band and Rome for coming by and making this all possible!

Mad love to the Dirty Heads, esp with Rome. Just goes to show that there still are real, raw artists in the world. Great set.

I kind of agree… Rome is amazing in lay me down, but he doesn’t need to ham it up in all of your guy’s songs. When I saw you guys live in Pho town you put on a sick show and it was so sweet that Rome could be there… but i came to see THE DIRTIES and hear your crazy flow. When Rome hammed it up in the rest of the songs (like Stand Tall) it just threw off the vibe a lil bit. Jared is such a tight rapper/singer and i wanna hear HIS voice during HIS parts… NOT Rome trying to harmonize with him.
I’m not hatin! Rome is the shit too and he has a great voice! but he’s not a Dirty! Just some constructive criticism :)

Awesome new song by the way!

why don’t you have the real deal come play at kroq. these dudes try to jack Slightly Stoopid’s style, but they’re not very good. disappointing kroq, lets here some more Slightly Stoopid and less of these cheesy want to be’s.

jeez someones in a bad mood, slightly stoopids sick dont get me wrong ive seen em twice, but you gotta give respect to the dirty heads, how could u even say there jacking slightly stoopids style? Dirty heads pretty much created their own style. they have sick raps, sick beats and sick lyrics and there pretty good singers. u dont know anything about either band if you the Dirty heads r jacking stoopids style… get outa here. =)

you clearly are tone deaf and have no ear for music, because they sound nothing alike. just because you cant distinguish the difference doesn’t validate you hating on all other bands in the genre. stoopid is not the messiah, open your mind.

ha serious though. how do they try to sound like slightly stoopid? everybody has their own styles.

they’re not even close to slightly stoopid. slightly stoopid is more melodious, dirty heads are a mix of rap and reggae. for example “neighborhood” is straight flow.

I got to agree with the person who said DH sounds like Slightly Stoopid just not as good. I’ve seen Slightly Stoopid play with just Miles and Kyle on guitar one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen, and have seen them with their full band. I don’t think they sound exactly a like, as Dirty Head are more Kottomouth Kings, and Slightly Stoopid plays pretty much every kind of music, blends it perfectly and are some of the greatest musicians i’ve seen. I am probably not that great of a judge, Slightly Stoopid is my favorite band ever, and I listened to the Dirty Heads once, and did not like it. As far as Sublime, you can’t replace Bradley, its just not right. just my 2 sense. Much love to all!

whoa there is alotta haterade going around here
but im just doing this to put my input not start more arguments first of all the DIRTY HEADS kick ass u cannot compare them to slightly stoopid. like the DIRTY HEADS have the’re own style becuz its reggae and hip hop and it sounds FUCKN AMAZING! so dn’t hate appreciate then 2nd of all Rome is not trying to replace brad yes its not the same hence the name “Sublime with Rome” Rome is chill and talented but i do agree on the whole not wanting him to harmonize with the Dirties cuz he really aint a dirty but yeah he b cool in Lay me down obviously lol
