Pavement reunited! See them at Coachella Sunday April 18th.
Formed in Stockton, California by Stephen Malkmus and Scott Kannberg, Pavement broke through the crowd of bands writing dark muddy songs in the nineties with undeniable catchy hooks taking garage rock down a whole new road. It’s been a long time since I last saw Pavement and I have so many great memories involving their songs—can’t wait to catch them again at Coachella.
They recently released a best of disc called QUARANTINE THE PAST. It’s 23 tracks of remastered awesome released by Matador records. My favorites include Shady Lane, Box Elder and Summer Babe.
Cut Your Hair was Pavement’s biggest hit. Check it out and remember – NO BIG HAIR! Oo oo oo oo, oo oo oo oo.
For all you die hard Pavement fans you still might be able to get into their special show on Saturday, April 17th at the Fox Theatre in Pomona.
