When I heard Nine Inch Nails were bringing Gary Numan out to perform a couple of songs on their last tour my head nearly exploded. Luckily, I caught two of those shows.
Gary Numan is playing Coachella on Sunday April 18th.
Gary Numan was one of my early introductions to synthesizers in music but even more important he delivered a style of songwriting and singing that I had never really heard before—detached and cold but intriguing.
Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck will be joining Gary Numan on stage at Coachella. Here’s awesome video of one of those NIN shows.

If for some crazy reason you cannot make it to Coachella Gary Numan is performing at the El Rey on the 21st.
