Smash Or Trash – Flobots Featuring Tim From Rise Against

Although The Flobots had been writing and recording since 2000, they really hit it big in ’07 with their major label debut Fight with Tools, featuring the single “Handlebars.” Maybe you saw them at KROQ’s Weenie Roast in ’08. Their performance blew everyone away and solidified the phrase ”I can ride my bike with no handlebars” in our brains forever.
They’re now promoting their latest release, Survival Story. We want to know what you think of their newest single “White Flag Warrior” featuring Tim from Rise Against. Is it a smash or trash?

An unfortunate opinion of an incredible collaboration between artists, voices, and socially active individuals.

Amazing song. I’ve been a fan of the Flobots since they began, and this song take all of music to another level. Its incredible how they can not only make good music, but also have a legit message. Just listen to the lyrics, amazing.

I’m digging this song. Got the new album last week. Hope they put out “By the Time you get this message” – Can KROQ play that too? It’s sick.

Not much is worse musically than rap done wrong. But Tim’s cool. And the viola chick.

By “done wrong” do you mean intellectually crafted lyrics laid to the beat of actual instruments and not machine? I can see how rap fans could get confused about this.

how is this at all rap done wrong? this is not rap, this is Flobots. i think being able to combine the lyrical smoothness of fast-worded rap like singing mixed with suburb instruments is just astonishing.
