Note to NBC: The Olympics Are Over. Stop It.
If you’ve watched anything on NBC in the last week or so, you’ve seen the never-ending coverage of the Winter Olympics. I LOVE the Olympics. But mainly when they’re actually happening. The Olympic Hockey Gold Medal game was one of the best hockey games I’ve ever seen. But that was then. I’m less interested now since the games have ended and are no longer happening. So…note to NBC: Let it go. Stop it.
Although having said that, I feel sorry for Lindsey Vonn. She probably misses me.
This is a little embarrassing for me to admit, but the name on her ski? Clearly a message specifically for me. And I accept.
For more subliminal messages from Lindsey to me, and video of her Sports Illustrated photo shoot, click “more“.
I don’t know what it is. Maybe it was her spirit and enthusiasm for Alpine skiing that I love.
Maybe it was her patriotism and love of country that drew us all together.
It could have been just watching the payoff of someone who clearly spent years and years preparing for just that moment. Or this moment:
I’m just sayin’ I miss her. And more importantly she misses me. Sure my cell has been blowin’ up…Caller I.D? “Lindsey”…don’t answer. Be strong. A call from a different phone comes up “snow bunny”…and I think, just let it go to voice mail. (that was a mistake as it was my drug dealer) I think a clean break is probably the best way to go for Lindsey and I, However painful that may be.
