I’m being honest when I tell you that I didn’t know a whole lot about The Temper Trap before they set up their gear in KROQ’s Studio R. Of course I’d heard the song a few times on KROQ and was like “hmm, that’s an interesting sound.” But, when I taped their live performance I was literally blown away.
Three guys: two with acoustic guitars and one with a keyboard not unlike the one my mom bought for me in the fourth grade. The Temper Trap take these three basic instruments and really brings something new to the table.
They sat down and recorded two songs for us; “Sweet Disposition” and “Fader,” both from their CD, Conditions, now available in stores everywhere.
