Vampire Weekend Plays House Parties?

Apparently they do!  In Spain at least.  The Columbia University alums were invited to play at a very lucky girl’s birthday fiesta after one of their shows, and wouldn’t you know, the boys obliged. 

Click more to check out some Spanish intimacy with Vampire Weekend.I think we all should take a step back and think about how ridiculously badass this is. Really, imagine going to a show featuring one of your favorite artists, tossing back a few drinks with them at the bar, then convincing them to come back to your pad and play a late night set in your living room. 

Gotta give props to the bassist for managing to dodge the “curly-afro man” in the beginning of the video, then “unnecessarily large hat girl” for the last 5 minutes.  That hat is on fire if it were up to me.

This all gets me wondering, if I could have one band play in my living room for my birthday, who would it be? I’m thinking Muse, though I’m afraid my senses are far too weak to make it out alive, therefore I think a band like Tenacious D would be more fitting.
