Lollapalooza 2010: A Possible Soundgarden Reunion, Green Day And Gaga
Oh the rumor mill, it is a constant source of entertainment isn’t it?
This latest case of “I heard it through the grapevine” involves Soundgarden, Lady Gaga and Green Day headlining this year’s Lollapalooza at Chicago’s Grant Park. If anyone can pull that off it’s Perry Farrell.

Fans of Soundgarden were hoping that the long over-due reunion would take place at Coachella this April as rumored, but that’s the thing about the rumor mill, you just never know how much validity is fueling it. However, all these rumors that circle us like blood thirsty mosquitos, at one point or another, have some semblance of truth to them.
The official line-up is usually announced in the spring, so we have to wait until then, but take it from me, no matter who is on the bill it is a festival worth making the effort to go see. Chicago is the type of place you fall in love with instantly. It’s got old world charm and gingers by the ass-load all over the place. That’s right! Those type of gingers. Every year I go these gingers multiply like Gremlins. It’s great.
Most importantly, Chicago is home to Giordano’s pizza. Just ask Dave the King of Mexico about that one.

I went last year and it was definitely the experience of a lifetime! If those 3 headline the event it would definitely be a step backward from last years headliners. Green Day is awesome, probably one of the best live rock acts out there today! Soundgarden is whatever. I personally enjoyed Chris Cornell in Audioslave more. And Lady Gaga is just awful.

I wouldn’t go to Chicago for Lady Gaga, but I would go knowing that Perry WILL put together an outstanding line up even if it doesn’t include the headliners. I agree with the Cornell Audioslave thing. I love him in Audioslave. We’ll just have to see.
Again though, Chicago is so so so awesome. Any excuse to go…I’m there.

Chris Cornell and Soundgarden… If I could go to Chicago, I definitely would just to see them back again. Soundgarden is the best ever.

Been out there the last two years and the lineup is always a must see… Those traveling out there for the first time, the Perry Stage is a must do on your music circuit.. Comparable to the Sahara Tent at Coachella but WAY WAY more open and more room to dance! Past acts I have seen include Silversun, MGMT, Chromeo, Bloody Beatroots, Kid Cudi, Kanye, Depeche Mode, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jane’s Addiction, Killers, Tool, Kid Sister, Girl Talk and Rage Against the Machine to name a few, and thats just the last two years… Its a party hard town, Giordano’s after the show and Lou Mitchell’s in the AM to get ready for another day!
