KROQ Announces Expansion Into Santa Clarita Valley

KROQ Announces Expansion Into Santa Clarita Valley

It has come to our attention that, a mere three decades after taking to the airwaves in Southern California, our crack Engineering team has installed boosters that (we’re told) allow KROQ to be heard in the following cities:

  • Santa Clarita
  • Valencia
  • Newhall
  • Canyon Country
  • Agua Dulce
  • Stevensen Ranch
  • Saugus
  • Val Verde

Welcome aboard, guys!

Sure, that’s a list of cities, but what does it mean? Why can’t KROQ give you something you’re used to seeing? How will you know exactly where KROQ reaches? Don’t worry — there’s a map for that.

Take that, Verizon.

Honestly, we’re not even sure if this is true, or how it works, or what it looks like. Our engineers are habitual liars. If you’re in the Santa Clarita Valley, tune the radio to 106.7 and give it a listen. Let us know if you can hear the station. If you can, take our hand and walk with us into a glorious new age of radio.

Cool…that would explain why I don’t have to wait until I get on the freeway to hear KROQ anymore. Also, probably explains why I now hear a bizarre echo for a while at the very top of the Newhall pass.

The only “Boost” Kevin & Bean really have to give is to share their bottles of Viagra with their listeners!

I used to see Bean at the 7-11 on soledad twenty years ago, when you guys would tease ‘Michael the maintenance man’, but the only place I could hear KROQ was during work in the San Fern. Valley.
Thank You, (I am glad that Bean moved out of my town)

IM 21 ive been listening to KROQ for years now out here in Santa Clarita Valley meaning Canyon Cntry/Valencia/Saugus/New Hall/etc…but i will admit some areas its hard to reach A Great Connection without having to hear Static. When in my car listening to 106.7 the best reception is typically towards Valencia the rest of the SC Valley is jus on and off Static….if theres n e thing your “habitual liars” engineers can do Have them get to work. Gotta Have my Kevin And Bean in the morning and KROQ overall…
Thanks

I,m so happy I have my KROQ back!! I have only been able to hear you when I go down into L.A. I moved to Santa Clarita about 10 years. You are now the clearest station up here, not that I really cared about any other station. THANK YOU KROQ
