Rancid’s Tim Armstrong To Produce A New Web Series

I will pretty much stand behind anything that Tim Armstrong puts his name on. His latest project has him paying tribute to those good ol’ 1970′s detective shows where cops drink booze like degenerates and smoke cheap cigarettes like chimneys. Tim has hooked up with director/animator Joe Roecker of Live Freaky Die Freaky fame. The duo plan to produce a web series called Svengali about a drunk detective and an evil professor, played by Mr. Tim Armstrong himself.

The web series will include all those things we love the most: music, sex, crime, and the best and worst of L.A. In true punk rock fashion the boys won’t use any permits, opting instead to shoot everything guerilla style. The show is said to be “for immature audiences only”. Now that’s something we can all get behind.
