Gary Coleman Death Watch
We had former child star Gary Coleman on the show recently to talk about his latest direct-to-DVD movie. In this one he plays a midget, the latest sad project in a career that has had more valleys than peaks since his hit 70s show Different Strokes.
We’ve had Gary on a dozen times over the years but this was the first time I felt like it was probably the last time. He sounded miserable, beaten-down, and like there was a gun on him forcing him to promote a crappy movie he didn’t want to do but he desperately needed the money.

So that’s Gary yesterday, after being booked into a Utah jail. This story says the police were called after receiving reports of a “civil disturbance” but that he was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court in a previous case.
I’m calling it now. Gary Coleman will be dead by year’s end. He’s 41, almost unemployable, in poor health, with a failed marriage, and he can’t leave his house without someone saying “Whatchoo Talkin’ About Willis?,” a TV catchphrase from 35 years ago.

I’m gonna say that he’s going to make a “Hollywood Comeback”… This is usaully the moment in the movies, where the main character does his soul-searching and figures a way to be at peace with himself and his life. Thus, creating a new plot-point and opens up a new opportunity for the protaganist. I really wish him all the peace and success in the world. It’s hard to go through the “Hollywood machine” at such a young-age… It has messed up a lot of people and few have found the inner-strength to pull out of it’s clutches… Gary… You can do it… Make this the best chapter of your life.. and show the world and yourself the power of you. I know you can do it.

wow that’s fucked up! seriously, betting on when he’s going to die? it’s scary that the media has this sort of privilege but these sorts of comments are acceptable all the time. i’ll admit that i also take horrible events lightly (possibly even too much so) but when it really doesn’t matter, like after the fact. countdowns like this could actually send him “over the edge.”

Gary Coleman…. What can I say he has for a long time looked bad. But to all you bagging on bean he told you his opinion on y he thinks the dude is going to die not wishing death on him…. And if Gary Coleman reads this and kills himself that is sad and he needs help. I mean all stars deal with this stuff good and bad alike and they dont kill them selfs, if he dosent like it he should stay out of truble. Sometimes you have to start at the bottom again to get to the top. Im going to say June 20th..
