Death Cab For Cutie Cover Dont You (Forget About Me)

It’s safe to say that Death Cab For Cutie is not on my personal iTunes, but I do know how loved they are by so many of you.I came across this video of them covering the Simple Mind’s “Don’t You(Forget About Me)” and I figured I would post it. I’m curious to see what your thoughts are.

that was horrific. They sounded flat. Was there a audio technical problem? I hope so for their sake.

There are times when band copies a song rather than cover it, like the Candy Skins’ version of For What Its Worth. Most of the time a band has their own take on a song. This one is such a great song to begin with that any cover is going to be hard pressed to sound good next to it. Billy Idol’s version is pretty good, it’s on his best of CD (that also has a song recorded live from an Acoustic Christmas). Kudos to DCFC for attempting the song. I still like the original. A lot.

Was ok if it didn’t buffer for 15 seconds every 3 seconds or so. I don’t have the best signal here, but once a video buffers once, it’s in the cache and I can listen to it all the way through without interruption. Horrible player.
