Has Rivers Cuomo Recovered Enough To Perform?
When Weezer’s tour bus crashed in December of 2009, lead singer Rivers Cuomo suffered from five cracked ribs and internal bleeding from the crash. Today on their website, Cuomo’s health status was updated, keep reading to see how he’s recovering.
The bus lost control and smashed through a guardrail where it landed into a 10 foot ditch. Since the crash, Rivers has been making a speedy recovery, so fast, according to the Weezer website that doctors have given him a clean bill of health.
The timing is perfect as well, as Weezer is scheduled to headline a concert at Florida State University on February 20 because the school won the concert as a prize in a contest.
At this rate, 2010 seems to be improving for the band by leaps and bounds. They will be releasing another single off their 2009 album Ratitude, in addition to releasing an album of previously unreleased songs, as well as the deluxe edition of Pinkerton. Let’s just hope they avoid anymore setbacks this year!
