I am not quite sure what I was expecting as far as the soundtrack to this movie was concerned, but, I certainly wasn’t expecting Owl City to mingle with the likes of Robert Smith. I’m so confused by this soundtrack. Before I dig myself into a hole with the things I really want to say, I am going to just sit back and let this all play out. I need to see the movie WITH the songs and then I can wrap my head around it. No one loves Alice In Wonderland more than I do, all I ask is that these songs do the movie justice. We’ll just have to see.
Here’s a great Spin article concerning this whole musical mish mosh.

Is this not an insane looking soundtrack on paper? I just saw this on facebook and was like ‘wtf?’ I’m with you on this one Nicole, I’m going to keep it zipped and see how it all works out. I have faith that Tim Burton will work it out, he always does. ;]

I would have to agree that this list is highly perplexing. Having such arguably mainstream artists sounds to be potentially fatal with the soundtrack and film cohesion, then again, Tim Burton does usually work it out, as Jen mentioned.
