Julian Casablancas Announces New Album In The Works For The Strokes

Julian Casablancas, the frontman for The Strokes has announced that the band is currently working nonstop on a new album.
Even though Casablancas has been spending the majority of his time promoting his solo effort, Phrazes For The Young he’s now examining the possibilities for The Strokes’ next studio album.
In an interview with NYmag.com, Casablancas explained that the vibe amongst the group has changed into a cohesive unit saying:
Everyone is working as a group, ‘Let’s do it! Go team!’. Which is amazing. Which is what I wanted since day one. But that’s only happening now. Literally now.
He also commented that he believed some of the internal strife going on within the band was due to the fact that the money was split equally, but not the workload. And now that they’re back in the studio, they’re all working together and splitting the work, making a much more stable and productive environment.
“
Everyone is working as a group ... Which is amazing.

Casablancas does mention that he will not get into the exact reason for the problems within the band as he does not want to reignite problems which have been dealt with.
That sounds like the best idea of all — growing up and looking towards the potential of the future is always the mature way to deal with things.
Regardless, we look forward to seeing what The Strokes come up with for their next album, don’t you?
