Sluggo’s Top 10 Picks for the Roq of the 1990′s Weakend
Since you were just about to ask me anyway, here be some of me faves from the 1990′s – which I will play for you at some point this weekend, or I will have myself flogged.

1 – The Pixies – ANYTHING!
“Monkey Gone to Heaven”, the CD single, was the first compact disc I ever bought, so I certainly could go with this as my Pixies choice for this particular weekend, however.
2. The Beastie Boys – ‘Pass The Mic’
3. Sonic Youth – ‘Kool Thing’
4. Oasis – ‘Supersonic’ (two of the coolest dudes I’ve ever enjoyed verbal intercourse with in my life, btw – Muse is right up there now too)
5. Anthrax w/ Public Enemy – ‘Bring The Noise’ (any party mix without this song doth blow)
6. System of a Down – ‘Psycho’
KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 1999
7. Pearl Jam – ‘Black’ (particularly the remixed version)
8. Nirvana – ‘Territorial Pissings’ (the Tool helper monkey and I once nearly completely destroyed my office while blasting this song one fine day)
9. School of Fish – ’3 Strange Days’
10. NIN – ‘Head Like a Hole’ (technically, I had this single in 1989, and, apart from Nitzer Ebb & Ministry, had just never heard anything like it before.)
There are soooo many more songs I could go on and on about – the 90′s were an amazing set of years for Alternative rock – but I’m limiting my list to just 10…for now…
