Back in 2003 Placebo tackled one of my favorite Kate Bush songs “Running Up That Hill” and released it as a bonus disc to their album Sleeping with Ghosts.  In 2007 they included it on the re-release of Meds. Now the song has gotten new life in the trailer for the new film Daybreakers which opens this weekend.

Vampires, Sam Neill, Willem Dafoe and Ethan Hawke?  Sign me up.

There was a time when I listened to Kate Bush’s cd Hounds of Love every single day.  Please take a moment to check out the gorgeous original version of the song.  WARNING:  it would be wise to listen to the song and not watch the video—interpretive dance doesn’t hold up over time.

love the Kate Bush original. KROQ used to play that one back in the day.

Placebo’s version gets my vote though both are marvelous
