Update From Bean’s Farm

Filed Under:

Update From Beans Farm I promised myself I’d eke out a KROQ blog post before the year ended and here it is. The End. No, wait….

The Kevin & Bean show will be in full effect Monday morning, bright and early for our first show of 2010. It will also be the start of our twenty-first year doing the morning show here. Thanks for all the ears in the past and for tuning in again next week.

I haven’t been following the news as closely as I usually do when I am working but I think I’ve got the gist of it. Charlie Sheen put explosives in his underwear and tried to blow up Rush Limbaugh. And actress Brittany Murphy knocked the Pope down during the movie Avatar.

BY the way, Monday we welcome another affiliate along the Kevin & Bean syndication network. Joining our stations as far-flung as Wichita and Baton Rouge is one a little closer to home, KJEE Santa Barbara. Here’s a photo of the guys who are out of a job because it is cheaper to run our show:

 Update From Beans Farm

I don’t know a thing about Adam and Spencer and I’m sorry they lost their jobs. But, seriously, not even black people are throwing fake gang signs in photographs anymore. Wasn’t that guy kind of asking for it?

Have a safe and super New Year’s Eve tonight, you guys. I’ll be asleep by 9:30 like usual so nobody call the house, okay?

Wow! I can’t believe I have been listening to you guys for over two decades. Having said THAT I would like to ask you a few questions about the old days. Where are Mark the Wiffle Boy, Michael the Maintenance Man, and Louis? When are you going to bring back Celebrity Refrigerator Interviews? I think you need to bring back “Feel The Warmth” during the Christmas season. Congrats on all the years, guys. ~Patricia~

I was so happy when I tuned into KJEE last week and heard the Kevin and Bean show. I have missed you guys and KROQ in general since graduating college and moving back to Santa Barbara. Spencer and Adam were okay but I lost a lot of respect for them after The Rev from A7X died and they were making jokes about it the day after. Welcome to Santa Barbara!

You have NO idea what your talking about. SB locs can throw whatever sign they want because you transplants clearly don’t understand. If you look closer Adam happens to be throwing the peace sign with both hands, I’m not sure what part of PEACE means someone is asking for it. If you had no problem with Spencer & Adam you would not have gone there, you will never be able to reproduce the magic they had. Everyone eventually comes and goes in the radio world ,but no one rolls in sloppy seconds to Spencer & Adam with out the office already being shot out from their impact. SB will never fully respect someone who can’t even begin to seem local, we may not be from SB but trust us.. Uhh yeah no thanks changed 9.29 to 6th on my station list since you two came about. Good Luck is right you will need it!

Kevin and Bean,

When will you get affiliated with DC 101? Then I can listen to you when I go off to start my day and am not in front of a computer.
