Mooneyes Christmas Party – Rain Rain Go Away

So a couple of weeks ago we headed out of the compound in the IE in the pouring rain to try to salvage our big plans for the weekend.

The first thing on our list was to stop in Irwindale for the annual Mooneyes Christmas Party.

Sure, it was pretty obvious that there wasn’t going to be the typical 1/8th mile drags, or the cackle cars because of the rain, but we were curious of anybody besides us was crazy enough to drive an old car with bias ply tires on the freeway in the rain.

Well, we were pleasantly surprised to see a whole bunch of crazy bastards braved the rain to hang out in the wet parking lot at Irwindale Speedway just to huddle under an EZ-UP every time that water started to fall from the sky.

We managed to click off a couple photos between the showers, sorry about all of the water on the cars and trucks, but it was raining…
