Some damned website or another has published a guaranteed argument starter, a list of the “hottest women in rock.”
While I am delighted to see my girlfriend Meg White rightfully on the list I have other quibbles and you will too.
First of all, if actress/singer Zoe Deschanel is going to be on the list – and I think she should – then where the hell is actress/singer Scarlett Johannsen?
Secondly, black women can’t be seen? Or are Beyonce and Alicia considered too R&B to be counted?
Lastly, Beth Ditto of The Gossip. WTF? Who voted? Cannibals?
P.S. Don’t worry, King of Mexico, Gwen and Hayley both made the cut!

And Beth Ditto is sexy. Rock chicks can be sexy without being conventional beauties. Beth is awesome.

Sorry Nicole, Beyonce and Keys ARE too R&B to be on the list. I’ve seen many lists of “rock chicks” and this is probably the only one in which virtually every single are rockers (or at least are reasonably close to be one).
And Beth Ditto’s charm OBVIOUSLY doesn’t come from her looks (duh!), many people find her confidence and attitude attractive… believe it or not

Umm, no, you’re wrong Steve. I wasn’t “playing the lesbo card.” I was making the point that just because you’re a man doesn’t mean your preferences are superior to Beth’s or mine. Men tend to think that their idea of “hot” is THE idea of hot, and it isn’t. What’s hot to one person might not be hot to another. WRONG! Beth is strikingly gorgeous actually.The only reason she does not meet conventional standards of beauty is because of her weight, but not everybody finds larger women unattractive. Some of us like her.
