How To Submit Your Music
PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY or suffer the wrath of Kat.
DO:
- Send a normal non mp3 cd. NO MP3 CDS. Your cd must be ready to play on a normal non mp3 cd player. We are ghetto yo.
- Include your email/contact info.
- We want your best single. If you send a cd with multiple tracks put a star next to your best song. I don’t think putting a star next to every track is funny and I will most likely put your cd at the bottom of the pile.
- If your song has naughty words in it, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make a clean edit for airplay.

- Do not email me an mp3 and jam up my email.
- Email/call asking for a status update on your cd.
- Do not ask me to go to your myspace page–I do not do myspace pages.
- Do not send your cd, which you spent so much time carefully crafting, in a folded piece of paper. You must have a Sublime cd tray you can clean out and reuse.
- Do not send a press kit. I don’t care how pretty you are if your music blows.
- Do not call or email asking if I’ve received your cd. Send it certified mail or fed ex and get a delivery confirmation receipt.
- Do not show up on weekends you will not be allowed in.

Once you send in your song what happens next? Does it automatically get played on the radio? Do they listen to it BEFORE and chose yea or nah? Do they notify you if and when they are going to play it?

Jesse, we want demos and we do the very best we can to listen to them. But, at the end of the day we have two people in our music dept that both have busy jobs. It just leave a whole lot of time to listen to the thousands of submissions that we receive. We’re all doing our best here. Getting replies is rare, even when we start playing a bands’ song on the air. The band’s friends usually call them to say “Hey, I heard your song…”

Just to clarify – When you say “No MP3 CDs,” do you mean “no burned CDs?” Or specifically “no CDs that are burned in an mp3 format?”
